Connecting your Prometheus instance to NOFire AI enables seamless collection of application and infrastructure telemetry across microservices and Kubernetes environments. This rich telemetry powers NOFire AI’s automated root cause analysis, using a dynamically built knowledge and causal graph to rapidly identify the real root cause of an incident.
For optimal analysis capabilities, verify that your Prometheus instance exposes the required metrics for both causal relationship mapping and performance investigation.
If you’re running a self-hosted Prometheus instance, NOFire AI can connect securely using an AWS VPC PrivateLink. This ensures all traffic remains within your network boundary, following AWS security best practices.
Set a name and an expiration date based on your preference and generate the token.
Once the connection is established, NOFire AI begins analyzing your telemetry data to construct a comprehensive knowledge and causal graph of your infrastructure. The processing time may vary depending on the complexity and scale of your environment.
In the NOFire AI dashboard, go to the Connections section and click on Add New Connection.
Select Prometheus: From the list available connections
Then, click Next at the top right corner.
Enter Connection name (eg. production), Prometheus URL and Username/Password ** (optionally for on-prem, required for Grafana Cloud):**
